Kim Kirch
Captain Kim Kirch is an experienced mariner and expedition guide, with a passion for photography and a deep love for the natural world. She founded Kirch Expeditions to inspire others through unforgettable journeys in some of the planet's most remote and beautiful locations.
At the age of 18, she earned her USCG Captain’s license, and over the years, she has worked her way up to a 200-ton rating. Kimberly lives life at sea, traveling the globe as she works on expedition yachts or explores by sailboat. She has served as a captain on vessels up to 114 feet, a first officer on yachts up to 130 feet, and has also worked on deck on yachts up to 50 meters. Often wearing multiple hats, Kimberly has continuously balanced leadership roles, including ship maintenance as a captain/engineer, while also guiding expeditions and sharing her passion for nature and photography.
