Whales Of The Baja
Exclusive 4 - 8 guests luxury whale expedition in the Baja.
Blue Whales & Gray Whales make the waters around the Baja home during the winter months, with February and March being the peak season for this natural event. Our adventure starts in the historic town of Loreto where we will sail 4 nights and 5 days on a modern luxury catamaran with your captain / expedition guide and private chef and expedition guide in the Sea of Cortez. Every winter, Blue Whales gather in the Loreto area to calve, and mate providing an extraordinary whale-watching opportunity. Sailing through these crystal blue waters with the largest mammal on earth is to make a truly unforgettable experience. Other highlights along the way include hikes, petroglyphs, palm oases, dormant volcanos, snorkeling a ship wreck, diving, paddle-boarding, fishing, cocktails on the beach, and more. Option to add on Gray Whales, we will transfer from Loreto, to a luxury camp in Magdalena Bay, on the Pacific Coast ( 3 hour drive). Here we will spend 3 nights and 4 days with the Gray Whales. In Magdalena Bay, the whales calve and exhibit a very rare behavior only seen in Baja estuaries as where both the mother and calves will nuzzle up to our private boat, making for spectacular close-up encounters. Spending as the mornings with this unforgettable Gray Whale experience and the afternoons kayaking, SUP-ing, hiking or just enjoying the scenery. Your captain and expedition guide will be with you for every part of the journey to ensure best possible experience and safety.
